The Open Day Experience

What are they?

Open Day is when universities open their doors to prospective students, their parents and the community to showcase what they have on offer. Running information sessions on courses and units is only the tip of the iceberg; you’ll get to experience the campus come to life through organised activities like live performances, costumes, artwork on display, stalls, competitions, games and workshops that will introduce you to the vibrant culture of each institution.

You will be able to access campus tours to get accustomed to the layout of buildings, cafes, stores and great facilities within the university community. This is your chance to meet academics and ask all the questions you may have. You will also get a taste for the social side of university by meeting representatives from student associations and clubs who will tell you all about the many exciting events going on throughout the year. If you’re planning to live on campus or are even considering it, you may even get to tour the student residences and get information about what is available and what life would be like living on campus.

The day is about introducing you to the university lifestyle, answering your questions and letting you find out about how you will be supported throughout your education – it’ll also provide you with a great orientation to get you settled into campus life in no time!
